Powerage by AC/DC
"You're a big AC/DC fan, aren't you? Everything has already been said about that!" Right, hence the short version. The Australians' fourth album from 1978. Here in the golden edition for the band's 50th birthday, remastered in 2024.
Bon, Angus, Malcom, Cliff and Phil. All hard/blues rock. Still anarchistic, but no longer raw. Technically a step forward. That's what makes the record special. According to band members, it's their own favorite album.
In fact, my favorite albums are High Voltage, Let there be Rock, TNT, Powerage, Highway to Hell with Bon Scott and Back in Black and For those About to Rock with Brian Johnson. After my teens, I lost interest and everything after that left no emotional connection with me.
"Who needs a remaster?" Me, because the originals disappeared from my collection a long time ago. Every fan and collector buys them anyway. Conclusion: if you like classic blues-driven hard rock, this is exactly what you need. "Down Payment Blues", "Riff Raff", "Sin City" and "Kicked in the Teeth" are brilliant. An LP that I listen to in its entirety, technically cleanly pressed with good sound. AC/DC Powerage (1978)). Golden Edition, Remaster 2024.
