Yes, I admit it. I like the old boogie/blues rock of these Australians. Of course, with Bon Scott, who died far too young in 1980. I'm not doing a proper review; there are already tons of reviews online. I'm referring here to the gold vinyl remaster released in 2024 to celebrate the band's 50th anniversary.

Remastered, 180-gram, reissue. For a fraction of the price of an original from 1979. If you like AC/DC and don't already own vinyl, this is perfect. Sure, they're making money here, but the value is there. The album that sealed the band's breakthrough in the USA plays flawlessly. And it sounds damn good! It also comes with a poster, and the inner sleeve is printed on both sides. However…

...I don't need any advertising copy about the greatness of AC/DC. The nutritional value is simply too low for me.

My highlight is "Night Prowler", dark and very bluesy. Featuring a lot of Angus Young – and a killer sound! So, should I buy it? Since I didn't have an AC/DC album on vinyl before: a definite yes. If you already own the original version, maybe not. But then again, I'm not a collector.
